ITV Coronation Street fans ‘work out’ Lauren kidnapper after suspect ‘lets slip’ giveaway

Following the appearance of a character who seemed to “slip up” and leave a hint, fans of Coronation Street are certain they have discovered who is responsible for Lauren Bolton’s disappearance.

Viewers of Coronation Street believe they have solved the mystery of Lauren Bolton’s abrupt disappearance after a character appeared to “slip up” and reveal a clue.

The focus is on Roy Cropper, who was unintentionally detained on charges of murder. Fans may recall that earlier this year, Lauren, a disturbed young lady, abruptly disappeared from the street. Her boyfriend Bobby was concerned when he found Lauren’s apartment unlocked and vacant.

Viewers were unaware of Lauren’s departure, and it seems that she just told Roy about her intentions to leave Weatherfield because she vanished without a trace. Bobby called the police to report Lauren missing, and Roy—who was well-known for his kindness—became a suspect. This was especially true once it was discovered that Roy was innocently cleaning Lauren’s apartment—a development that some saw as an admission of guilt.

Max Turner heard David and Shona Platt speculating earlier this week about the possibility that Lauren’s father’s extremist organization was connected to her disappearance. When Max paid Lauren’s father, Reece, a covert visit in jail, he inquired about the whereabouts of his daughter and unintentionally disclosed that Roy had been wrongly charged with Lauren’s murder.

Later, two suspicious men who were friends of Lauren’s father Reece held Roy captive at his cafe and interrogated him, leaving Reece unsure of where his daughter was.

As Lauren’s previous tutors, Roy and Daniel Osbourne were the subject of a police inquiry in recent scenes. Max caused difficulties in the most recent episode by speculating to Bethany Platt that Daniel might be a suspect.

Daniel addressed the unruly teenager after learning of this.

Daniel made the decision to flip the situation, implying that Max might be to fault for Lauren’s disappearance and was attempting to place the responsibility elsewhere. But as a result of his altercation with Max, he was placed on administrative leave.

The residents of Weatherfield organized a vigil for Lauren during that same broadcast. Max surprised Bobby by mentioning Lauren in the past tense, which made Bobby chastise him for having a pessimistic mindset.

The audience, who had previously thought Bobby or Tommy Orpington would be responsible for Lauren’s abduction, became skeptical and speculated that Max might be involved.
