In EastEnders, Denzel Danes (Jaden Ladega) has become unhealthyly fixated with fitness and has attempted to experiment with anabolic steroids in addition to his new, rigorous exercise regimen.
Following an encounter with bully Logan in which he was assaulted, he started to have problems with his body image.
In an attempt to “bulk up,” he has now taken up boxing and altered his dietary routine.
He leaves Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd) distraught when he snaps at her after lecturing her about his fixation with the gym, and future scenes will show how his preoccupation with the gym further strains their relationship.
Even though he feels guilty, he quickly gets over it when he receives a message that his steroids are supposed to arrive today.
Later, when Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) challenges him about his diet at the café, he encounters additional resistance to his lifestyle choices.
After hearing the two argue, Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) tells Yolande to not back down.
Denzel stays withdrawn at home, but Yolande conceals a strange item before attempting to learn more about his present problems.
Yolande attempts again to get Denzel to talk about his problems after getting counsel from Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), but he refuses.
Yolande tells him straight away that he has to start talking if he wants his package returned.
Yolande is unaware that the shipment includes steroids, but Denzel is eager to get it.
After lying about his encounter with Yolande, Denzel makes apologies with Nugget Gulati (Juhaim Rasul Choudhury) the next day.
Yolande and Nugget are having a discussion when Kat walks in and discovers Denzel taking his package back from Yolande’s bag.
