Emmerdale’s Tom King ‘exposed’ as two unlikely villagers ‘work out’ Belle’s abuse

As things get closer to breaking point, viewers of Emmerdale have witnessed Tom King continue to control his wife.

It appears that two villagers may finally reveal Tom King’s (James Chase) nefarious practices in Emmerdale. ITV viewers witnessed Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) and her husband reaching a breaking point on Friday night.

She confronted him at work and they got into a heated argument, with her berating Tom for manipulating the story to make his actions look insignificant. But as Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) answered the door, they were cut off.

Tom apologized for having to overhear their argument, clearly embarrassed by the entire situation and beginning to show his true colors. With a worried expression on his face, he asked, “So am I, are you alright?” in response to Belle.

Tom suggested Belle they should continue their conversation outside before she could respond. Despite this, Paddy observed, obviously shaken by the argument he had just witnessed.

However, during the episode, more people than only Paddy saw a hint of Tom’s evil side. Later, when Tom declined to continue their debate in public, Belle became increasingly irate and the two of them found themselves in the midst of the village.

“I’m sick of this, I’m sick of you,” she cried in a panic. I detest you!

But they were ignorant of this. Kevin Mathurin’s character, Vicar Charles Anderson, observed everything that happened.

Given that Charles yelled at Tom in the Woolpack a few weeks ago, it’s no secret that he doesn’t think highly of him.

Are Paddy and Charles beginning to see that Tom has been mistreating Belle in private over the past few weeks?

Soon after, viewers began to discuss the episode. Some predicted Paddy and Charles would eventually expose Tom’s deceptive tactics.

@ElaineAdu_Poku posted on Twitter, saying: “So Paddy overheard the exchange and told Belle it’s okay. Since he is a Dingle, I hope he will uphold the absurd Dingle court and shove Tom to the curb.

“Charles/Paddy or Suzy are going to figure/find out what type of man Tom really is,” said @KWMadhead94 in a remark.

“Glad Paddy overheard that argument; he’ll pick up something’s wrong and help Belle out,” @_ellielou97 continued.

“I read that an unlikely person catches on to what he’s doing, so I reckon it could be Padders,” tweeted @HayleyG_OBE.

In response, @LeroyStHillwell said, “Go on, Charles. Again, bounce him off the bar. And once more.

Later, trying to patch things up with her husband but not realizing how manipulative he was, Belle went back to meet Tom at work.

She responded, “I know my family can be full on and what’s normal for me might be weird for you,” in an attempt to put the incident behind her.

“I acknowledge your sensitivity, but I apologize for my overreaction and admit it was my responsibility. You know that I adore you.

Tom threatened to leave even though he was trying to turn things around by telling his wife that ever since they were married, she had changed and was constantly abusing him.

But after she pleaded with him to stay, he ended their visit, and the two embraced with a menacing look on his face as he realized he had prevailed.
