ITV Emmerdale rocked by murder as fans predict unlikely villager turns serial killer

After Jai Sharma at last received justice for his father Rishi’s murder, Emmerdale concluded on a dramatic cliffhanger on Thursday night.

Fans of Emmerdale believe that Chris Bisson’s character Jai Sharma murdered his biological father Amit (Anil Goutam), but might he kill again? In intense scenes that aired on Wednesday night, Jai murdered Amit by pushing him down the stairs, just as Amit had slain Jai’s father, Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel).

Jai was seen cleaning the carpet and talking on the phone with Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) as the show was coming to an end, and Amit’s corpse was nowhere to be found. Jai dismissed his true whereabouts, saying, “I went to meet with that new drinks supplier.”

“Yes, I just returned to work. Actually, I just had some things to take care of,” Jai said to his wife while cleaning blood off the skirting board. “Nothing significant, nothing. On my way back, is there anything you would want me to pick up? No issue, as you are aware, I like contributing to society.”

Jai was seen dragging a suitcase prior to the credits rolling, but was Amit’s corpse inside? As fans flocked to X to express their opinions, many foresaw what had happened to Amit, while many were relieved that Jai had brought justice to Rishi.

“That was a very good #Emmerdale episode tonight seeing Amit finally confess to killing Rishi,” one person speculated. I’m guessing Jai has taken Amit hostage, holding him down in the basement or something like.”

“Another two murderers added to the village list. When will it end?” said a third. At this pace, living in the dales is more perilous than living in London! #emmerdale.”(sic)

“In Jai, the Meena side is emerging. A third person wrote, “I. LOVVVEEEEE. ITTTTT HAHAHA.”

“Bit cold-blooded there, mate? Next serial killer in the village?” said a fourth. #Emmerdale. (sic)

Someone another questioned, “So is Amit in the suitcase? What’s Jai done with Amit #Emmerdale?” (Probably the same as the actor’s Eastenders role.)” (sic)

Then a fan asked, “Wait, is Amit dead???? #Emmerdale.”

Eric Pollard, played by Chris Chittell, appeared after Jai had shoved Amit down the stairs and made a threat to call the police.

Eric, nevertheless, issued a warning when Jai persuaded him to depart: “Don’t do anything really stupid.”

Jai said, “Not a chance, justice is finally on its way,” and turned to go.
