Coronation Street spoilers – Big twist as Maria Connor spies on killer Gary Windass via hidden camera

In Coronation Street, Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) becomes so concerned about her family’s safety that she soon buys a spy camera to surreptitiously record Gary Windass (Mikey North) and his son Liam (Charlie Wrenshall).

In the ITV soap opera, Maria and Gary learned a few weeks ago that Liam had been searching for ways to take his own life on Google. Liam McCheyne, Dylan (Luca Toolan), and Mason (Luca Toolan) had been bullying him nonstop for months. Liam had lost all hope and thought the only way to stop his feelings was to do the unimaginable.

Even though Liam has since acknowledged that he needs help for his mental health and spoken out about the bullying, Maria’s intense anxiety hasn’t decreased.

Concerned about what Liam would do if left alone, she spoke with Gary in the immediate aftermath and they decided to alternate sleeping on Liam’s bedroom floor.

Maria’s overindulgence in her son’s care quickly begins to take a toll on other aspects of her life when David (Jack P Shepherd) informs her that Audrey (Sue Nicholls) will start looking for her successor if she doesn’t return to work in the upcoming weeks.

In a conversation with Gary, Maria admits that she isn’t ready to leave Liam but that she knows she would lose her job if she doesn’t return soon.

Gary is unaware that Maria has made a troubling internet purchase while he talks to Carla (Alison King) about selling the manufacturing facility.

During the week, Gary is left to homeschool Liam while Maria leaves for work.

Maria and Audrey talk about possible hairstyles for a bride-to-be in the salon.

Maria sneaks a private moment to look at an app on her phone that lets her see Gary and Liam in the apartment via a covert camera.

Maria is fixing the bride’s hair when she checks her camera app and becomes alarmed when Liam goes missing in the restroom.

Maria becomes anxious and quickly gets her luggage as she heads out of the restroom after checking her phone once more and seeing that Liam hasn’t come out yet.

By the end of the week, Maria can no longer handle it all and loses herself in tears, confiding in Audrey all of her fears.
