ITV Coronation Street star quits soap after 47 years and has tearful goodbye on set

Tracy Barlow, who is played by Kate Ford in the soap, has officially left Weatherfield for a new life in Spain.

A legendary character from ITV’s Coronation Street has left the show, and her last scenes have already shown. Kate Ford’s character Tracy Barlow, a legend of Coronation Street, has formally departed Weatherfield to start a new life in Spain.

During Tuesday night’s hour-long episode featuring former Weatherfield County actor Tommy Orpington as his lover, the florist departed the cobbles. Her retirement from the ITV soap opera legend occurs an astounding 47 years after her tragic birth.

“And I want it at the back of my cupboard in the new place,” Tracy said to her daughter Amy, who was portrayed by Elle Mulvaney. Moving away is a major deal. Steve and I are no longer together. That doesn’t mean I won’t miss every one of you, however.
