Emmerdale spoilers – Aaron Dingle ‘bricking it’ as he is terrified to die in tragic storyline

At last, Aaron confided in Chas (Image: ITV).

In Tuesday, April 2,’s Emmerdale episode, Danny Miller’s character Aaron Dingle and his mother Chas played by Lucy Pargeter had some heartfelt moments as Chas encouraged Aaron to talk about his genetic test results.

Chas was diagnosed with breast cancer and was found to have a mutation in the BRCA2 gene, increasing her risk of breast cancer.

She encouraged her son to be tested since this is something that parents may pass on to their kids. Her brothers Cain (Jeff Hordley) and Caleb (William Ash) were also tested since they had acquired it from their mother Faith (Sally Dexter), who had passed away from breast cancer.

Aaron’s test was positive but he chose to lie to Chas about it so as not to concern her, even though Cain and Caleb’s results were also negative. Furthermore, Aaron beat Jonny McPherson’s character Liam when he suggested to Chas that Aaron could be concealing something.

This episode, Chas saw that Liam had a cut jaw and surmised that Aaron had caused it. She ran over to face him. But Liam offered some sage advice for her, telling her to be cautious while speaking to her kid and of how afraid she had been when she first received her illness.

So, armed with a box of his old toys, she went to meet Aaron. This little gesture of nostalgia and a return to his more carefree, less irrational, and less likely to use force leadership style succeeded. Aaron began to share his motivations for lying on the exam.

First of all, he didn’t want to be the one to spoil Chas’ happiness after realizing how delighted she was that her brothers weren’t positive. Secondly, he was utterly afraid of the implications for him.

He said that he had bad luck throughout life. He had lost and been abandoned by those he had loved, including his grandmother Faith, Ben Tucker (Simon Lennon), Jackson Walsh (Mark Silcock), and sister Liv (Isobel Steele). He declined to see a physician because he feared what they might say.

“I’m completely screwing up,” he told Chas. He said that he wished he was dead for a very long time after Liv passed away.

“I don’t want to go anywhere because I have this thing inside of me that is waiting to take me down.” I want to live, not die.

In an attempt to comfort him, Chas said he was the strongest person she had ever met because of all he had gone through and endured.

The relationship between Chas and Aaron has seen some very trying moments, such as the breakup that followed Liv’s romance with Al Chapman (Michael Wildman), which Aaron held responsible for Liv’s death.

Their relationship seemed to be doomed to never be close again, but Chas’s sickness has altered that.

We can get through this if we stay together, Chas said, as Aaron agreed to schedule a visit with the doctor to discuss his immediate options.

“It’s me and you all the way.”
