Coronation Street’s ‘gorgeous’ Dee-Dee star declared love by co-star on special day

Star of Coronation Street Channique Sterling-Brown received much affection from her fellow cast members on her special day, as they all got together for a night out. This week, the actress was celebrating her birthday. On Thursday, April 18, the Dee-Dee Bailey star turned 27.

Channique is now in the centre of the action in the ITV soap opera as the Weatherfield attorney tries to support Roy Cropper, who was accused of killing Lauren Bolton when the adolescent vanished back in February.

However, she took a break from shooting on Thursday to celebrate her special day with some of her co-stars. As she celebrated her birthday, she posted a photo to her Instagram Story including her pals and said, “The best evening with the best people.”

Cherylee Houston (Izzy Armstrong), Daniel Brocklebank (Billy Mayhew), Elle Mulvaney (Amy Barlow), Jane Danson (Leanne Battersby), Alison King (Carla Connor), Paddy Bever (Max Turner), Tanisha Gorey (Asha Alahan), and Mollie Gallagher (Nina Lucas) were among the celebrities seen taking part in the festivities.

Tanisha was among many who used their social media platforms to publicly contact the birthday girl. The serial actor raved, sharing a photo of the couple looking glamorous in a lift: “Happy birthday to this wonderful lady. I wish you a day that is just as amazing as you. I adore you more than jelly beans.”

Before her recent departure from the ITV soap opera, Harriet Bibby portrayed Summer Spellman. She also posted a series of images of the two of them on her Instagram Story, captioning them, “Happy birthday to my darling buddy! I love you, Chan,” I said, emoji-ing a crimson heart.

It happens after Channique disclosed that she was hurt while recording the court sequences that Roy and she just broadcast. Following the airing of the scenes, Channique—who first appeared in the ITV soap opera in 2022—shared photos from the day, including selfies she took with Joel Deering and Carla Connor actors Calum Lill and Alison King—while they were filming the court scenes on location. She also divulged all of the behind-the-scenes action.

“Little BTS on tonight’s episode,” the soap opera actress said as the Instagram description. I loved getting to portray the other side of DeeDee in these major sequences, and it was so much fun shooting them on location as Roy’s Solicitor Advocate.
