Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver receives support from co-stars as she makes announcement

Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver has announced she is releasing her first book, titled A Work In Progress, which is now available to pre-order and will be released in November

Sue Cleaver, well known for playing Eileen Grimshaw on Coronation Street, has revealed plans to go off the cobbles in a new endeavour. The actress has returned to her theatrical origins in Sister Act the Musical while taking a break from the ITV serial opera.

Watchers will witness Eileen flying to Thailand in future episodes. Sue has really taken a break from her soap opera career to portray Mother Superior in Sister Act the Musical’s UK and Ireland tour. Several of Sue’s co-stars, including Tony Maudsley (who plays George Shuttleworth) and Gareth Pierce (who plays Eileen’s son Todd), showed out to support her during the tour’s March run at the Manchester Palace Theatre.

Sue has disclosed another exciting initiative, despite her hectic travelling schedule: she is publishing her first book. The 60-year-old actress revealed the title of her first book, A Work in Progress, on Instagram and said that pre-orders are now open.

Sue has shared details about her next book, which explores her struggles with self-doubt and overthinking. Sue asked a series of thought-provoking questions in a promotional video for Bloomsbury Publishing before opening up: “It’s about my journey about my issues with all of those things, particularly overthinking, stressing, and fretting about things. All I wanted to do was come on here and tell you about it.”

The accompanying social media post, which read, “Are you a chronic overthinker, do you have anxiety, or do you suffer from self-doubt?,” emphasised the book’s focus on prevalent mental health issues. Sue Cleaver has seen it firsthand and continues to gain knowledge from it. In A Work in Progress, Cleaver recounts her experiences and life lessons, considers how they affected her and what she gained from them, and provides guidance and insight for others who may encounter similar circumstances.”

“Training as a therapist was only the start of her journey of self-discovery and at sixty she feels more empowered to live life to the fullest than ever before,” the caption said, describing her journey towards empowerment at sixty. I’ve lived my whole life believing that I don’t measure up or belong.”

With a sincere confession, the former I’m A Celebrity. Take Me Out of Here! The competitor said of her increased self-assurance, “I’m just now starting to find my voice. I also know that I still have a lot to learn. Although I’m still a work in progress, I feel good about the fact that, for the first time in my life, I’m not concealing.”

Liam McCheyne, a coworker on Corrie, joined in the fun by responding to the picture with a series of applauding emojis, while voice actress Kate Harbour said, “I’m buying and taking several leaves out of it n no mistake.”So glad and proud of you, Sue.”

Joining the chorus of appreciation on Instagram, user @sarahjane_supermum emphasised: “@officialsuecleaver Oh my god. This is incredible. I am all of those things. Looking forward to obtaining a copy. Sue, you really are a lady for one!”
