ITV Coronation Street spoilers for next week: Terrifying hospital dash and Lauren’s boyfriend exposed

Coronation Street will air some big scenes next week when one resident is rushed to hospital whilst Lauren’s mystery boyfriend looks set to be exposed by the discovery of a necklace

Next week, Coronation Street will include some significant moments as a resident is taken to the hospital and Lauren’s secret lover seems to be about to come clean due to the finding of a necklace.

Next week, Coronation Street will see some horrifying events when a resident passes away.

In the midst of the intense drama surrounding Roy Cropper’s arrest, circumstances in jail become much harder for him as he waits for his trial, and the mystery surrounding Lauren only deepens as the authorities get no closer to figuring out who attacked and maybe murdered her.

In other news, Steve seems to be on track to find love once again after Tracy decided to part ways with him. Meanwhile, a new character has joined the Paul Foreman plot, and his mother Bernie appears to be concealing a very important secret from her children.

Shock collapse

Next week will provide shocking drama as Roy Cropper unexpectedly falls. This week, he tries to reach Nina over the phone in the café, but Carla quickly hangs up and leaves.

Roy is obviously having trouble in jail when he has another flashback in which he sees Lauren and Max approaching the café counter. However, what exactly is Roy attempting to recall from this discussion, and what makes the memory significant? When Roy becomes distracted and loses his line of thought, he becomes irritated. As Bobby informs Carla that Roy must have remained silent about the fraudulent statement to the police, a nervous Nina waits for Roy to arrive for their regular visitation.

She alerts the guard that she is expecting him, and when he doesn’t show up, the officer enters Roy’s cell and discovers him lying on the ground. He is taken to the hospital in a hurry, and it is obvious that he is having trouble with everything.

Lauren update

Roy is certain that he has to recall something from a discussion between Max and Lauren. Mary visits him in the hospital and encourages him to keep thinking about it, hoping that it will come back to him.

He remembers hearing Max and Lauren talk about something at the café, but he can’t quite put his finger on what it is, even though he knows it’s important. Would Roy be able to get out of prison with this?

Nina discloses that a recreation of Lauren’s final known movements in the café would be filmed by the police. In an effort to bring attention to what is about to occur, Amy volunteers to discuss it on her radio programme.

In another scene, Roy phones Dee-Dee while she is incarcerated and informs her that they may identify Lauren’s mysterious man if they can locate her jewellery. Will they be able to determine who is accountable by finding out who she was dating?

New arrival

When Paul’s father Denny shows up on the Cobbles the next week, things become complicated. During a radio interview with Amy, Paul talks about motor neurone illness and how society doesn’t value people with disabilities. However, he gets carried away and unintentionally curses.

Paul, Billy, and Gemma are shocked by the amount of individuals that want to contribute to the MND crowdfunder later in the week. A father approaches Bernie, alarmed, telling her he heard Paul on the radio and didn’t know what was going on with his kid. She lies and claims that Paul has already passed away, but Denny doesn’t buy it. They go upstairs together to visit Paul and Gemma, who are both startled. Bernie pauses as Denny tells Paul that he looks wonderful for someone who is apparently already dead.

Bernie is obviously concealing something, and she fears Denny will divulge every detail of her background. Billy reluctantly leaves the two of them alone when Paul asks Denny to watch a movie in the apartment. Later, Denny leaves Paul alone in the apartment while he goes for ice cream. He gets sidetracked when he meets Gemma and asks her to give him an opportunity to see his grandkids.

Paul can hardly breathe after having a coughing spell back at the apartment. After he gets through, he drops the call for an ambulance. When Denny gets back to the apartment, he is astounded to discover Paul scarcely breathing. Will Paul be alright?

Bernie is shown to be concealing something in another scene as she nervously goes through an old shoebox full of pictures and messages. Dev is left puzzled; but what is she searching for, and what is she concealing from her kids?

Steve’s lucky in love

After divorcing Tracy Barlow, Steve has resorted to dating apps in the hopes of finding love. He informs Tim at the taxi stand that after downloading the dating app that Abi recommended, he has three matches. His attention has been drawn to a woman named Maggie, but Abi becomes enraged at a sexist remark made by Kevin.

Maggie accepts to go on a lunch date at the Bistro. Will Steve’s fortunes turn around at last, or will this relationship fizzle out before it starts?

He later has lunch with another lady in the Rovers, but when he gets to see Carole with her three other pals, he’s baffled. What does Sally say when she sees Tim with the lady when she phones the bar and one of the women asks Tim to join them?

Dating apps have demoralised Steve, but after reading a message from Demi, he decides to rethink his mind. Steve tells Amy that he thinks Demi could be the one since he is so sure about her. When they get together, it’s obvious they have chemistry.

New romance

Not only does Steve seem to be finding love this week, but there also appears to be a connection between Adam and Alya. Alya visits the lawyer’s office the next week in order to get a client file. Adam is obviously having trouble with the admin, and later on, he recommends to Dee-Dee that they should stop working together on Fabian’s project. However, she calls him petty and orders him to move on.

Adam is surprised to hear that Alya will be working in Dublin when Rich and Alya go to the conference. He’s desperate to win Alya over, but with all that has transpired between them in the past, will he or will she remain unforgiving?

When Adam and Alya collaborate on the joint case the next day, it’s obvious they’re in love. After a little while, Adam eventually confesses that he likes Alya, and the two kiss just before Rich gets to the office.
