Last year, Neighbours concluded its run on Channel 5 with a star-studded, historic “finale” that was the epitome of a bow tie.
But one topic remained unanswered: viewers were left wondering just who the sperm donor was, since Amy Greenwood (Jacinta Stapleton) had hinted that she had found one in her desire to become a mother.
Fans will remember that Amy made the decision to have another child during what we all believed to be the last few months the show was on broadcast, and she was hoping that someone she knew would have been able to assist her.
After she began to feel as if she had emotions for Ryan Moloney’s character, Toadie Rebecchi, things were a little uncomfortable between the best friends.
Amy left town for a short while, determined to figure out what she wanted, but she returned to Ramsay Street in time for Toadie and Melanie Pearson’s (Lucinda Cowden) wedding, which brought many well-known names back to Erinsborough.
The proprietor of Drinks Diva touched Toadie’s stomach in her last minutes on live, telling her she’ll “know in a couple of weeks” whether “things worked out” for her.
After asking her if she had found a donor, Toadie became shocked and insisted on knowing whether it was someone they knew. But Amy was maintaining a tight mouth.
Fans have been waiting impatiently to learn who her baby’s father is, and now that Neighbours has returned to television thanks to Amazon Freevee, the hit soap opera has answered their prayers.

The serial drama’s flashback episode on Monday, November 13, sent fans back to the day of Toadie and Melanie’s wedding. Jacinta Stapleton played Amy again, shocking her neighbours by bringing Lance to the Waterhole to confirm the news.
When Amy presented Lance as her prospective “baby daddy,” he was a bit hesitant. However, when we saw them in a later scene, which was set the day following the wedding, he and Amy were much more certain of their intentions.
After making sporadic cameos in 2005, 2018, and the 2022 finale, Lance was a fixture of the programme from 1995 to 2001. Although his and Amy’s relationship has previously failed, it seems that their happy ending is now on the horizon.
