Soon, Nicky Wheatley (Kimberly Hart-Simpson) will return to Coronation Street with some very important information about the disappearance of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).
Nicky was a sex worker when we first got to know her. She got into a difficult relationship with Daniel (Rob Mallard), who was experiencing grief after his wife Sinead’s death.
Nicky was last seen by us when Daniel ran into her in the precinct.
He inquired about her knowledge of Lauren’s income from prostitution. Neither of them understood Max (Paddy Bever) had overheard them conversing and was engrossed in giving DS Swain (Vicky Myers) video of them together.
As the police recreate Lauren’s last known movements, Bobby (Jack Carroll), Max, Bethany (Lucy Fallon), and Beth (Lisa George) arrive at the station.
Bethany is shocked to learn that Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper), the guy who mistreated and manipulated her, is among the group of individuals she has seen up ahead.
When Bethany gets back home, she gives Daniel an update on the situation, but he believes that Nathan is undoubtedly in jail and that Bethany is just delusional.
Nicky walks in and interrupts their conversation.
She says she’s off to see Ellie, a young lady who was manipulated as a teenager and may know anything about Lauren.
But what would happen to the case if Ellie tells Nicky anything about Lauren?
Is this what will finally lead to Roy’s (David Neilson) release?
