In recent scenes from Emmerdale, Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) has been keeping a big secret from her husband Tom King (James Chase), which will make him angry if he ever finds out.

Although Belle didn’t feel ready to have a kid, Tom got her a test and quickly laid out a plan for their future after developing suspicions that she could be pregnant.

Luckily for her, the test result was negative, but Tom was terribly disappointed.

Before he stormed off to meet some friends, he quickly turned on her, telling her that she was selfish for choosing to prioritise her work above his desire to have a family.

After Tom had gone, Belle saw Mandy Dingle (Lisa Reilly) and gave her the runaround, acknowledging that she felt like she was being egotistical.

Mandy reassured her, however, that she needed to consider the kid she would be bringing into the world and that it was OK if she wasn’t ready to have a baby.

Tom persisted in controlling the conversation from home by claiming that he was concerned about their infertility.

After failing to win Belle over with that, he resorted to guilt-tripping her, telling her that having a child would provide them with the stable family he had always desired.

Even though it was obvious that having a child wasn’t what Belle really desired, she eventually consented to try for one.

Tom had Belle dispose of her contraceptive pills in the trash before going out to grab some celebration non-alcoholic wine, all in an effort to make sure he got his way.

As soon as he was gone, Belle swiftly grabbed one pill out of the package and concealed the others.

Is Belle about to incur Tom’s anger for taking such a large risk?
