Emmerdale spoilers: Bernice makes a shocking confession as Nicola calls the police in exit twist

No other option (Picture: ITV)

In Monday’s (November 13) Emmerdale episode, Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) was made to face the music after taking out a loan in Nicola King’s (Nicola Wheeler) name.

When Nicola got home on Friday after her lunch with Bernice and Gabby (Rosie Bentham), she saw two guys taking everything out of her house.

The bailiffs said that they had to take action since Nicola had not returned her loan.

Nicola was frightened, but she was also very puzzled. Nicola was keen to find out who was behind it even though she and Jimmy (Nick Miles) were well aware that no money had been taken out.

Nicola discovered a message from Bernice on her way to the B&B, confirming that she had applied for the money but chose to flee rather than face the reality.

Bernice’s friends and family were left in a terrible mess in tonight’s episode.

In the B&B, Bob (Tony Audenshaw) and Wendy (Susan Cookson) were trying to pick up the pieces while Gabby began to worry whether her mother had upped and left her again.

Everyone was rushing about, and nobody noticed that Cathy (Gabrille Dowling) had disappeared.

Jimmy and Nicola were left in a dreadful state by Bernice.

Cathy discovered Bernice meditating on the floor as she entered her vacant house.

In the end, Bernice had little choice but to remain in the Dales and make amends with the people she had wronged since she was penniless and unable to go.

Bernice revealed to Nicola, Bob, Gabby, and Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) that she had accumulated debt since her return in 2021 and that despite her best efforts, she had never been able to fully get back on track.

Even though it was an opportunity for others to feel sorry for Bernice, Nicola remained enraged.

Nicola informed Bernice that she had no option but to denounce her to the authorities, pointing out that her family now had nothing.

Does this imply, however, that Bernice will board a police vehicle and drive out of the village?

“I hate leaving my coworkers, and I will miss getting my hair and makeup done every day!” Speaking about her departure, Samantha Giles said, “Just look at my hair! I am already missing that.”

Going to work every day is a pattern that takes some getting used to; it’s amazing in some ways since it’s incredibly creative and freeing, but one does clearly miss not being paid on a daily basis too.

However, I believe it is unhealthy to become too preoccupied with money. Sure, everyone has to make a living, but creative people also need to feel free to explore new ideas and create new paintings every day rather than only focusing on the same one.
