Diligent Asan N’Jie, star of Emmerdale, was photographed on the set in Leeds after landing a new film role.
Giant, a new boxing movie that chronicles the lives of Prince Naseem Hamed and his trainer Brendan Ingle, will include the actor, who portrayed Ellis Chapman in the ITV serial opera.
Asan is portraying Tom, while Amir El-Masry is the actor who plays the former professional boxer.
This is the largest job Asan has taken since leaving Emmerdale; he is starring alongside film veteran Pierce Brosnan, who is playing Brendan.
After an altercation with Jamie Lomas, who portrays Warren Fox on Hollyoaks, Asan was fired from the serial opera back in 2019.
After the TV Choice Awards, which were said to have taken place at the Hilton Park Lane Hotel in London, the two stars were seen fighting on camera.
Asan reportedly threatened to “kill” Jamie before being taken from the property by security.
Asan issued a statement after Emmerdale decided to fire the actor, stating, “My behaviour at the TV Choice Awards was completely unacceptable and very much out of character.”
I really apologise to all those impacted, including Jamie Lomas, the whole Emmerdale crew, our viewers, ITV, my family, and the TV Choice Awards organisers.
“I am determined to learn from this, I accept full responsibility for my actions, and I am devastated.”
After leaving Emmerdale, Asan went on to star in other films and TV shows, including Industry and Bloodlands.
