Sarah displays worrying behaviour in upcoming scenes
After nasty Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) and his cronies manipulated and mistreated Bethany (Lucy Fallon), Gary stood by his former lover.
In the end, Sarah broke up with Gary when he had an affair with Nicola Thorp and became involved with loan shark Rick Neelan (Greg Wood).
Sarah has had a very turbulent few weeks.
When Sarah visited her prisoner boyfriend Damon Hay (Ciarán Griffiths), he was brutally dropped by the armed cops and sent behind bars.
The character was eventually given an off-screen jail term of six years, and this ended up being Damon’s last episode.
In scenes that will premiere next week, Sarah’s ex-fiance Gary will get worried when he witnesses her sipping wine at The Rovers Return.
Gary approaches Sarah as she’s about to take another bottle home and steps in to stop her.
There is tension in the next episode, and it’s obvious that Gary is stunned by what he has witnessed, even though teasers haven’t yet revealed precisely what occurs next.
When Maria, Gary’s wife (Samia Longchambon), returns home, they seem shady.
Maria subsequently watches on her phone as Gary asks Sarah out after setting up a covert camera.
Ultimately, the ex-couple exchanges hugs and decides to go their own ways moving forward.
