Emmerdale spoilers: Eric meets his match as he gets his comeuppance at the hands of unexpected foe

Veteran Emmerdale actor Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) has lately shown off his roguish side by defrauding Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) of a sizeable sum of money.

After working for months as a Cher impersonator on a cruise ship, Kerry had returned, and before she went, she had treated herself to a little reward. We discovered that she had dated an affluent old man who thought she was the real Cher.

She took some pricey jewellery with her as she departed, believing she was due the money since he had promised her all of it.

She pushed the boat out by making sure the wedding would be a spectacular and expensive occasion, intending to use the proceeds from the sale of the things to pay for her daughter Amy’s (Natalie Ann Jamieson) wedding to Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano).

She had a lot of making up to do, after all, for just leaving Amy to go on the cruise.

Eric Pollard destroyed her when she brought the most precious piece of jewellery, a necklace, to him for an appraisal and told her it was worthless. Later, he made arrangements for a friend of his to purchase it for far less than its true value, pocketing the difference.

When it appeared that the wedding would have to be cancelled, he played the hero and paid for it himself. Kerry has been warned, however, that she must repay him with interest.

Kerry is now in a horrible situation, deeply in debt, and Amy is upset with her for allegedly betraying her once more and violating all of her promises regarding the wedding.

In later episodes, Kerry is wary of Eric and resolves to find proof that he has been lying to her.

She uses cunning to enter his barn and gains access to his laptop, where she discovers the evidence she sought—that he made a huge profit on the sale of her jewellery.

She chooses to get retribution since she is clearly enraged. After she persuades Tracy (Amy Walsh) to allow her to have a cash-only sale at the store, patrons immediately help themselves to the amazing deals that Pollard’s often pricy business has to offer.

When Pollard returns and discovers a free-for-all going on, how will he respond, seeing that Kerry has exacted her retribution and knows full well what he did?
