Emmerdale spoilers: Cain and Ruby’s killer revenge in car crash terror

After all this time, they finally work together (Picture: ITV)

Recently, Nicky Milligan (Lewis Cope) suffered severe injuries in an Emmerdale vehicle accident. He was traveling with Ethan Anderson (Emile John) to meet Suni (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana), who had called Nicky from a pub to report that a man who had attacked them last year because he was gay was there.

Nicky insisted on driving there, but Ethan saw he was too inebriated and took the wheel for himself.

Ethan became anxious when he observed a police car following them on the trip since he had consumed alcohol as well and he was concerned he might be intoxicated if he was pulled over. After turning back, he eventually lost control of the vehicle, which had disastrous results.

Nicky had a severe head injury as a result. Ethan legged it after getting him out of the car and realizing that Moira Dingle (Natalie J. Robb) had shown there and could rescue his friend.

It didn’t take long for the authorities to figure out that Nicky wasn’t the driver of the car when he was in the hospital struggling to survive. Ruby (Beth Cordingly), Caleb (William Ash), and their son were watching over each other when Ruby’s head was instantly flooded with ideas of retaliation against whoever had been driving and abandoned her boy.

Future episodes will see Ruby confiding in Moira. Since Moira splattered Ruby with mud while driving, Ruby spread a rumor that Moira had scabies, and Moira responded by piling manure outside Ruby’s house, the two women have been at odds with one other. However, their shared concern for Nicky and rage at the crash’s circumstances bring them together.

In the meantime, Cain (Jeff Hordley) and Caleb have made up, and the brothers are thinking about what to do if they discover who caused the disaster.

When Charles (Kevin Mathurin) gives Ethan the chance to talk, he informs his father that he was driving when Nicky was hurt because he feels guilty about keeping his secret.

Charles is inconsolable and struggles with his morality over what to do. In the end, he determines that turning his son in to the police is the appropriate decision.

Ruby witnesses Ethan being taken into custody and determines that Ethan had to be the cause of Nicky’s accident.

As Ruby returns to the rest of the family, Ethan’s situation becomes concerning.

Probably safer in a police cell than heading back to Emmerdale village anytime soon, given his father’s opposition and Ruby and the Dingles’ determined retaliation.
