Jacob Roberts, the newest addition to Coronation Street, has received an outpouring of love from his former co-stars since making his ITV soap opera debut. Roberts is a Hollyoaks star. Monday, May 13, marked the premiere of the actor’s first scenes in the venerable programme, which were a part of a new Bernie Winter plot.

Jane Hazlegorve’s character Bernie is on a quest to find her long-lost son Zodiac, who was adopted and had his name changed to Christopher Green shortly after his birth.

Bernie found a man who shared the same name and was the same age while on her first trip to Weatherfield of the week, carrying out her ongoing quest for the child she had given away over thirty years prior. To get entry into his home, she posed as an agency cleaner.

But when it was discovered that she was opening his drawers, Bernie had to confess the true reason for her presence. Although Christopher said he wasn’t adopted, he appeared upset with Bernie when she explained why she had given her son away and why, in light of the death of her other son, Paul Foreman, she was now searching for him.

As Bernie returned home, dejected, her daughter Gemma Winter-Brown confronted her and demanded to know who Christopher Green was. While Gemma was talking to Paul about finding him so she could reconnect him with her mother, Bernie was telling Dev the truth about Christopher’s adoption. She had lied and claimed it was a past lover.

She clarified that she wasn’t compelled to give up the baby and that he was the product of a hook-up at the Hacienda. but instead pleaded with social services to remove him from her custody because, after the twins, he was her third child and she preferred her social life to being a mother.

As Bernie was speaking, viewers saw the unidentified man she had visited pull out a jade elephant toy, which was identical to the one Bernie had told Dev she had purchased for her kid, stating that although jade was all she could afford when she gave him up, emerald was his birthstone.

Scenes revealed that Jacob, who spent six years playing the role of Damon Kinsella in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks, will be joining the Corrie cast as Christopher ‘Kit’ Green, Bernie’s son. The actor announced on social media that he will be joining the cast of “Coronation Street” alongside a shot of himself outside the famous Rovers Return. Remember to keep an eye out for “Christopher Green.” He’ll be walking on those well-known cobbles pretty soon.”

Additionally, a large number of the current and former Hollyoaks cast members quickly expressed their support. In the words of Ross Adams, “Good things happen to good people.” In response, Owen Warner said, “Go on, ladddd.” In response, Anna Passey said, “Only good things for you, Sir.” “Go on, mate,” wrote Anthony Quinlan. Many congratulations!”

“Go on the boy!” typed Charlie Wernham. Kelly Condron revealed: “Excellent information! Many congratulations.” “Wow,” wrote Matthew McGivern on social media. Congratulations, buddy!” Lucy-Jo Hudson also said, “Well done, buddy. You’re going to adore it.”

As previously reported, Kit Green will be identified as a detective hired by DS Swain to assist in unravelling the mystery surrounding the disappearance of Lauren Bolton, a teenage girl. The episode airing on Wednesday, May 15, takes an unexpected turn when Kit is approached by an inebriated Bernie on the street, and he arrests her for being intoxicated and disorderly. The Weatherfield police officer, who is still keeping his true identity a secret from his birth mother, utilises his work to learn more about her interesting background.

“It’s absolutely amazing to be joining the cast of Coronation Street,” Jacob stated in reference to joining Corrie. The first time I stepped foot on the set, I was a little taken aback by the amazing attention to detail, which gave the impression that we were on a genuine street. My parents are also quite happy, which is wonderful. It feels strange to be here because my mother has always watched Coronation Street and I have also kept up with it. It was wonderful getting to know the entire cast and crew; I truly do feel at home here.

“I think Kit will be a pretty misunderstood figure at first, but I’m looking forward to everyone meeting him. It would be intriguing to see how he resolves his deep-seated animosity towards Bernie, his birth mother, given that he has been severely wounded throughout his life while having a good heart.”
