Next week on Coronation Street, Abi Webster is in for a surprise when a villain she believed to be in the past reappears in her life. After killing Seb Franklin in a horrific hate crime plot, Corey Brent was last seen on the ITV soap opera three years ago.

Maximus Evans debuted on the long-running programme as Corey 2019 and was soon involved in some of the greatest and most intense plots of the serial opera. He was a part of the horrifying hate crime that killed Nina Lucas’s lover, Seb, and left her maimed.

The builder was kicked until he was lifeless on the ground by the young football player, who eventually died from his wounds, as was then disclosed in flashback sequences last month. But it took some time for the truth to come to light since the trauma caused Nina to lose her memory, and Corey avoided taking any of the blame when Kelly Neelan was found guilty of Seb’s killing in the first trial.

Only because Stu Carpenter, who was homeless at the time, had discovered the bag containing Corey’s clothing from the night of the attack and turned it in to the police, were they able to prosecute and arrest him for his involvement in the crime.

He did attempt to flee with Stefan, his father,’s assistance before the police caught up with him, but Abi’s arrangement with Gary Windass allowed him to drive them directly to the police station after they had gotten into the back of a van to plot their getaway.

However, fresh teasers now indicate that Weatherfield will learn about Corey. Abi will turn on the TV in the scenario and hear the hostess praising Corey for his skill on the football pitch. Abi is horrified to see Kevin admit that Corey is a member of his jail football squad.

After seeing the documentary, which portrayed Corey as a hero, Abi is ecstatic. After calling the TV firm in charge of the documentary’s headquarters, she and Nina force their way into the producer’s office and demand answers.

Subsequently, when browsing the Gazette website, Nina and Abi find solace in the encouraging remarks and are happy to discover that a petition has been launched calling for the documentary’s cancellation.

However, Abi receives more unwanted calls at the garage. Drug dealer Dean tells Abi he’s having trouble and wants her assistance. Watching on with wide eyes is Cassie Plummer, who gets sent packing by Abi. Tyrone Dobbs had to break the terrible news to Abi after seeing an email at the workplace shortly after and being frightened by what he sees.

The sex film has been posted to other websites, and Abi is appalled by this. Just before the sex tape was made public, Cassie tells Kevin that she witnessed Abi fighting with drug dealer Dean and that she subsequently heard her setting up a meeting to give him money.

When Abi next sees Dean, she accuses him of creating the sex tape while wielding a wrench. When Dean argues that he has no idea what she’s talking about, an enraged Abi doesn’t buy it. Abi is told to put down the wrench by Kevin, who comes just on schedule.

Abi finds out there have been four more films published while Dean is being questioned by the police. But when Abi watches the video, she learns that none of them are real; they’re all elaborate fakes.
