Next week, it seems like Lauren Bolton, a teenage girl who has gone missing, will be the subject of further hints on Coronation Street.

Roy Cropper has just lately been detained, accused, and positioned as the primary suspect in the alleged homicide of Lauren, a teenage girl who vanished. Fans of the soap opera will remember that earlier this year, troubled teenager Lauren unexpectedly departed the cobbles. Her buddy Bobby was alarmed to see Lauren’s apartment open and missing.

The audience never saw Lauren go, and it seems that she only notified Roy and a few close friends about her intention to depart Weatherfield. Bobby called the police to report Lauren missing, and since Roy is a kind person, people have been suspicious of him. This is especially true after Roy was seen innocently cleaning Lauren’s apartment, which some believed to be evidence of his guilt. Since then, internet sleuths have attacked Roy online, making his life miserable.

Evil Nathan Curtis has returned to the cobbles in recent scenes, and Bethany Platt is certain that her previous abuser killed Lauren. Next week, however, the villainous Griff makes his one-year comeback to the ITV soap opera when he is sent back to Weatherfield Nick. Griff is close with Lauren’s father; would he attempt to get vengeance on Roy even if Roy is innocent?

Fans of the soap opera will recall that Lauren moved to Weatherfield in 2022 after assisting in Max Turner’s recruitment to an extreme far-right gang led by the villainous Griff. At first, Max showed interest in Lauren, but their relationship quickly cooled down once it became clear what the group’s true intentions were. Along with Max, she had been forced into the entire operation by her father Reece, one of the group’s leaders. After that, Lauren attempted to change her life before going missing when Griff and Reece were being imprisoned.

When soap expert Sharon Marshall discussed the impending soap storylines on Wednesday’s This Morning, she brought up a fact regarding Corrie. “Talking about baddies, we’ve seen Nathan making a comeback, and Griff will be making a comeback as well,” Sharon said. He’s going to be incarcerated with Roy.

“He’s [Griff] a horrible guy, a wrong’un, and he [Roy] stood up against him and called him out for his racist ideas previously. So when he enters the jail, is he in danger? Is there a connection between all of this bad guy business and the disappearance of a girl? Or… are they planning something else and this is all a big scam?”
