Emmerdale spoilers: Nicky’s fate looks bleak in gutting update following car crash

In future Emmerdale episodes, Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) and Caleb Milligan (William Ash) will face far more challenges since their son Nicky’s (Lewis Cope) life is still in danger.

Nicky’s automobile, driven by Ethan Anderson (Emile John), went off the road and he sustained severe head injuries.

After dragging his companion from the passenger seat after seeing that he was severely injured and unconscious, Ethan fled into the forest as he saw Moira Dingle’s (Natalie J. Robb) car pulling up.

After telling his father, Charles (Kevin Mathurin), what had transpired, Ethan subsequently turned himself in to the police. Charles thought that calling the police would be the appropriate course of action, notwithstanding his request for an alibi from Charles.

For a number of traffic infractions, Ethan may get a jail term, which would almost probably end his legal career.

In addition, he has a formidable foe in the form of Caleb, Ruby, and Cain (Jeff Hordley), who have all pledged to get vengeance on him for inflicting Nicky’s injuries and then seemingly deserting him, leaving him to die.

Ruby and Caleb are more interested in Nicky than they are in Ethan’s destiny. They have seldom left his hospital bedside since the accident (except from the occasional cup of coffee and a frightening scowl directed at Ethan).

Because one of the doctors said that Nicky could be able to hear them, Ruby has asked that they only discuss good things in his room. She doesn’t want him to hear anything unpleasant.

Because of their heated argument just before the accident—Caleb believing Nicky had everything given to him—she was especially anxious that Caleb let his kid know he was proud of him.

Ruby hopes that in the next episodes, the medical staff will attempt to rouse Nicky from his coma.

She is inconsolable when Caleb tells her that he’s been informed that won’t happen since their boy is still too sick.

Later, while taking a little vacation from the hospital, they find themselves in the town. When they see Ethan, their response is violent; they accuse him of causing their ongoing nightmare and decide to get vengeance.
