Emmerdale’s Matthew Wolfenden poses with rarely seen son after Charley Webb split

Emmerdale favourite Matthew Wolfenden shared a sweet snap with his rarely seen eldest son Buster, moments before they enjoyed a spontaneous trip to the cinema together

Emmerdale handsome man When Matthew Wolfenden posted a cute selfie with his seldom-seen kid Buster, it stunned many.

The 44-year-old soap opera actor and his 14-year-old son were cool as they went to the movies to watch the newest installment of the Planet of the Apes series. The actor flaunted his clean-shaven buzzcut, while his adolescent son’s floppy hair couldn’t have made him appear any different.

The ITV actor revealed his most recent professional move, which included the devoted father leaving Emmerdale permanently last year after almost two decades of portraying David Metcalfe. This led to the father-son outing.

He sobbed during an interview on This Morning in September of last year, reflecting on his soap opera farewell. “It has been a massive part of my life,” he said to the audience. I’m really very appreciative.

Since then, Matthew and his 41-year-old former co-star Roxy Shahidi have entered the podcast scene. The Dales actress Roxy, who portrays Leyla Harding, has had a busy year on television.

She recently appeared on Dancing on Ice earlier this year, and she can presently be seen in Drama Queens, an ITV fly-on-the-wall programme. This spring, the dynamic pair debuted their podcast, Celebrity Side Hustle.

Shortly after leaving the programme on Boxing Day, their Emmerdale co-star and writer Jessie Elland (who portrayed Chloe Harris) became their first guest on the show. Fans flocked to X, previously known as Twitter, to voice their opinions online, thus it’s safe to assume that their event was a smash with listers.

“That was brilliant, it was so relaxed and you could really get a sense of the fun you were having,” said one person. Another person said, “This is amazing, well done guys,” and they each gave each other two kisses to finish.

Loved this, said a third admirer. Everybody need to have a side business! The actor’s first post on his Instagram grid since the conclusion of his role in Elf the Musical was a promotion for his new podcast.

His first job after leaving the popular soap opera because his personal and professional lives had fallen apart was a role in a stage production. Matthew Webb and his wife Charley Webb abruptly announced their breakup on social media in November.

They both insisted that they would be friends in a joint Instagram message at the time. According to Charley, Matthew and I have chosen to part ways out of respect and affection.

“We are still friends, and loving our kids comes first for us. We would want privacy at this time for their sake. Devoted followers will recall that the couple married in 2018 and have two sons: Ace, age four, and Buster, age eight.
