Executives from Coronation Street have provided an update, stating that the “truth about Lauren’s disappearance” would soon be made public.

“Get ready for a huge week of drama on Coronation Street,” viewers are being told, as “predator Nathan Curtis is firmly put on the police’s radar and Roy’s prison hell comes to a head.” It has been said by ITV executives that viewers will “discover what really happened on the fateful night that teenager Lauren Bolton disappeared”.

Fans of Corrie will be able to see how the week unfolds in a new trailer that will premiere on ITV later today. There will be an episode every night from Monday through Friday, May 27–31.

In the video, Sarah Platt is shown as adamant about getting her daughter Bethany free of Nathan Curtis’ wickedness. Sarah will stop at nothing to establish that Nathan is the reason for Lauren’s disappearance, even if Bethany is thinking of permanently leaving Weatherfield.

While DS Swan is pursuing Nathan, Carla Connor and her nephew Bobby face charges of tampering with the legal system as they work feverishly to clear Roy’s reputation. Though the evidence against him is growing, is there more at play here than first appears?

Furthermore, far-right activist Griff will return to jail and focus on Roy Cropper, who has been falsely accused of killing Lauren. Griff puts Roy in serious risk as he attempts to get a confession.

However, as Roy’s life is in jeopardy, viewers will be shocked to learn of an important piece of information that may clear the innocent café owner’s identity.
