Matty finds himself in a life changing altercation
On Emmerdale, Samson Dingle will suffer a deadly wound the following week.
On the ITV soap opera, Lydia Dingle, portrayed by Karen Blick, worries about Samson’s (Sam Hall) intentions to drive throughout Europe with his new buddy Josh.
In her heart, she hopes he will fail his test and that the used automobile Sam (James Hooton) is giving him isn’t fit for driving.
However, Samson is soon displeased when Cain (Jeff Hordley) approves of his motor.
Lydia’s trite congrats to Samson when he arrives sans “L” plates and Josh tells him he passed his driving test irritates Samson.
In the HOP, celebrating Josh has overt feelings for Amy, who just got married.
Josh approaches Amy once again after feeling a little ignored by Sarah, and it’s obvious that he is aware of Matty’s (Ash Palmisciano) transgender identity.
Amy leaves work early because she is finding it difficult to handle Josh’s constant flirtation.
Josh is left furious and ashamed when Matty instructs him and Samson to leave the property and gives him the hard facts about his actions.
When Matty gets the upper hand on Josh once again, his wrath flares. Outside HOP, Josh begins publicly humiliating Matty and returns inside to teach him a lesson. Samson reluctantly follows.
Matty feels that Josh is becoming more and more antagonistic towards him, to the point where Josh begins threatening to take the money out of the till.
As the confrontation becomes more heated, Josh pushes Samson into Matty, stabbing him with the dagger Matty was carrying.
As Josh stands back and accuses Matty of approaching them with a knife while Samson is bleeding out, Matty is shocked to see the story has flipped on its head and worries about what may happen to him.
