The moment when DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) confronts Roy Cropper (David Neilson) about the reason for his breakup with Carla Barlow (Alison King) is seen in a recent Coronation Street spoiler video.
Following Lauren Bolton’s (Cait Fitton) disappearance at the end of February, the murderer of the actress will finally be revealed in this week’s dramatic installments.
Roy has been a primary suspect ever since, and in the lead-up to the trial, he has been residing at His Majesty’s Pleasure after repeatedly being denied bail.
It makes sense that the people of Weatherfield have been searching for answers on their own and have been yearning to set him free.
In the episode that aired today, May 27, Tina O’Brien’s character Sarah Platt was determined to stop the evil paedophile Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) from getting away with his crimes.
After finding one of Lauren’s hair bobbles at No. 8, she proceeded to Nathan’s construction site and placed it inside his vehicle.
But he soon saw her in the act, and Jacob Roberts’s investigator Kit Green assured her that his squad was searching nonstop for the guilty party.
Later, forensics team searched Nathan’s vehicle, and Daniel (Rob Mallard) reported to girlfriend Bethany (Lucy Fallon) that he had seen Nathan being detained.
Is he in charge?
In tomorrow’s episode, DS Swain will confront Roy and insist that he tell the truth about Carla and her nephew Bobby (Jack Carroll) tampering with the legal system.
Fans of the ITV soap opera will recall that, in an attempt to rescue Roy, Bobby made up a tale and told Swain he had seen a guy in a balaclava enter Lauren’s apartment soon after she vanished.
Although Carla was adamantly opposed to it, Roy cut her off when he forced her to comply with every single detail after using her as his alibi.
He hasn’t revealed anything about their strategy so far, but will he now share the truth?
