Coronation Street’s Samia Longchambon told ‘it’s great’ as she shows ‘real’ self away from cobbles

The actress appears to have been enjoying the summer so far after a heavy start to the year for her Weatherfield character

The moment Samia Longchambon revealed a peek of her “real” personality away from the cobbles, Coronation Street fans flocked to react. After a demanding start to the year for her Weatherfield role, the actress seemed to be enjoying the summer so far.

Famous for her role in the ITV serial opera as Maria Windass, née Sutherland and Connor, Samia has been nominated for this year’s Inside serial Awards in the “Best Actress” category along with her co-stars Georgia Taylor, who portrays Toyah Habeeb on Corrie, and Channique Sterling-Brown, who plays Dee-Dee Bailey.

It follows her portrayal of the agony her character experienced when her son Liam Connor, played by Charlie Wrenshall, a teenager, was brutally tormented by Mason Radcliffe, the head of Weatherfield High, and his friends, to the point where he tragically considered ending his own life.

Accompanying Charlie in the Best Young Performer category is his friend and co-star Liam McCheyne, who is well-known to fans for his role as Dylan Wilson on Weatherfield.

Despite the weighty plot, Samia seems to have been finding some light respite with a trip away with friends and her husband, Dancing on Ice star Sylvain Longchambon, and also with savoring small joys like sunshine and cake.

She provided an overview of her July activities along with a series of photos that she posted on Instagram. Samia uttered: “Apply for July. Mallorca, first. 2. A selfie @mrsjodiem took after supper. 3. My Dahlias are doing nicely in their new home. 4. BTS at the shoot for @insidesoapmagazine. Remember to vote on everything on @coronationstreet.

“5. A cake for a birthday. My favorite sponge, Vicky. 6. This manner or that. 7. Warm trek in a stunning location. 8. We appreciate you allowing us to accompany you on the boat trip of a lifetime, @mrsjodiem @matthew_moulding! 9. Observing @ricky_martin enjoying a native way of life. 10. Extremely appreciative.”

Co-star Sally Carman-Duttine of Corrie was the first to remark, writing with joy, “Gorgeous!” before Samia’s supporters and admirers added their sentiments to the comments area.
