Based on her recent actions, viewers of the Emmerdale soap opera believe Moira Dingle may not be well at all. However, does she have a severe illness?
It’s true that Butlers Farm life has been really difficult lately. And Moira seems to be suffering from the stress.
In addition to Moira’s son Matty being falsely detained and imprisoned for stabbing Samson Dingle, Moira and Cain’s marriage has been strained.
As a result, Moira has been experiencing increasing levels of overwhelm, and viewers have witnessed her struggle to manage the home.
She has also been agitated, snapping at people who are closest to her. And given that she has been spotted drinking whisky to hide her emotions in recent weeks, is a relapse into alcoholism imminent?
What is wrong with Moira in Emmerdale?
Supporters worry that Moira’s health may soon deteriorate.
“I’m starting to think Moira might be ill or something because why is she acting like this?” a worried fan recently said on social media. #Emmerdale.
“Moira’s weird behaviour is starting to make more sense now – definitely a big health related storyline coming up #Emmerdale,” said someone another, reflecting on how the character is developing.
“Moira is so out of character right now, either Emmerdale is trying to break her and Cain again or there is something seriously wrong with her,” commented another person who shared their opinion.
Fan theories
Some fans also speculated as to what additional ailments Moira may be suffering from.
One person speculated on X, saying, “After watching Emmerdale today, I think Moira might have early onset Alzheimer’s.” Because she is exhibiting symptoms, such as extreme mood swings, altered conduct, disorientation, and cognitive blackouts.
“Me and mum think Moira has early onset dementia #Emmerdale,” said another person who agreed.
“#Emmerdale—will Moira wind up with a brain tumour or something else?” questioned a different user. “I find her character on Cain’s case a little strange, and I don’t like it.”
One more person commented, saying, “I think Moira is going through the menopause or perhaps the start of an alcoholism plot for her #Emmerdale.”
