Sam has played Chesney Brown in Corrie for more than 20 years

Fans of Coronation Street are expressing similar sentiments in response to Sam Aston, who plays Chesney Brown, posing for pictures with his kid while on a family vacation in Portugal. As devoted viewers of the soap opera are aware, Sam has been playing Chesney for almost twenty years, ever since he first arrived as a small youngster.

When older sister Fiz Brown learned that their mother Cilla had left the youngster home alone when she moved in with lover Les Battersby, that’s when Chesney was first spotted on the cobblestones. Chesney has since become the focal point of several intriguing plots.

After leaving school to sell dog collars when he was sixteen, Tyrone Dobbs leased him a Great Dane named Schmeichel, and the two became best friends. The news that Schmeichel would have to be put to sleep in 2011 brought tears to the eyes of many spectators, but unfortunately for poor Chesney, this would not be the first time his heart would be shattered.

Owing to his kind disposition, Chesney has frequently been viewed as the safe choice in love relationships; nonetheless, his first girlfriend, Katy Armstrong, had an affair with Ryan Connor. Gemma Winter-Brown was Chesney’s wife before he married Daniel Osbourne, his next love, Sinead Tinker.

Fortunately, he has a lot less chaotic existence off screen. Sam, 31, and his spouse Briony are parents to two-year-old Daisy Josephine and four-year-old Sonny James. In May of this year, they also welcomed Hazel, a daughter, as their third child.

Additionally, many fans commented in a similar manner when Briony uploaded some pictures of Sam and Sonny James together from earlier holidays. Sue commented on the Instagram photo, saying, “Wow, you look like twins! ” Gorgeous photos, xx,” said Deborah, adding “He truly is a tiny me.”
