In the most recent scenes, Kim Tate (Claire King) made her long-awaited return to the Emmerdale village and became enraged upon seeing the ongoing conflict between Jay Kontzle’s Billy Fletcher and Danny Miller’s Aaron Dingle.

Due to Aaron’s cruel treatment of Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson), Billy and Aaron had been at odds, and their most recent day together didn’t go well when Billy unintentionally spilled a pint on Aaron at the Woolpack.

Kim’s unexpected entrance abruptly ended their quarrel as she wanted to know what had been going on while she was gone.

Kim was quickly drawn into the turmoil between Billy and Aaron by paying Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) a visit after Billy and Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) had filled her in.

Upon realising that they had run out of things to say to each other after letting Craig (Ben Addis) die, Cain expressed his amazement at seeing her.

But Kim made it plain that, for Lydia’s and Sam’s sake (Karen Blick and James Hooton), she wanted him to take action over Aaron’s actions.

Kim was relieved when Cain grudgingly consented, and they soon had a talk with Aaron after Kim promised to take care of Billy.

Aaron quickly realised that Kim had given Cain the order to fire Billy and teased Cain by asking him what had become of him.

Unfazed, Cain fired back at him, demanding to know why he was starting battles with individuals who had no value in his life.

Cain made it plain that this wasn’t about Kim, but rather the Dingles when Aaron clarified that he wasn’t afraid of her.

He cautioned Aaron that Lydia was barely keeping things together, that she needed the support of her whole family, and that, because she was living with Kim, she could live without the tension caused by Billy and Aaron’s disagreement.

Will Aaron heed Cain’s unambiguous warning that he would regret opposing him on this one?
