According to teasers for Coronation Street, Leanne Battersby approaches Nick and Toyah after finding something startling on Rowan Cunliffe’s laptop. Leanne is unaware that her sister has been unfaithful to her fiancé; this relationship has only become more intense in the wake of Toyah’s recent battle with cancer.
Distracted Leanne has been trying to get Amy Barlow to support the Institute in the interim. But Amy’s strategy failed when she chose to sue the group after becoming frightened during the initiation ritual. Leanne tries to convince Amy out of suing by offering her her job back.
Will she succeed? And how far will Rowan go to make sure Amy doesn’t say anything?
In the midst of everything, Rowan has been using blackmail to get what the two have been up to. However, Leanne immediately approaches Nick after seeing a number of files on the Institute man’s laptop.

She searches through his laptop when she calls him up to reception. She looks at two files and is horrified to discover “Leanne” and “Nick & Toyah.”
