A call brings horrific news as Carla risks her life to take down Joel in Coronation Street

Although Joel Deering (Calum Lill) believes he has triumphed on Coronation Street, there are a number of strong ladies who are out to bring him down.

He feels uneasy when Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) makes it plain that she won’t give up on her pursuit of justice, but he soon encounters someone else who is out to expose him.

When Carla Connor (Alison King) confronts him, he displays his real colours in public.

While we applaud and shout her, has she put herself in danger while Joel figures out how to retaliate?

Speaking of fightback, as Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) learns how Rowan Cunliffe (Emrhys Cooper) has handled Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney), she is gradually beginning to feel uncomfortable about his conduct.

And there are a few more shocking truths that will surface when she finds files on his computer.

Monday September 2

Joel threatens Lauren as she is visiting her in the hospital and finds Dee-Dee there as well. As Dee-Dee informs Lisa about Joel’s most recent threat, she finds out that Joel formerly worked for a company called Walcotts that specialises in supporting young people who are at risk.

Jack gets ready for his court appearance. After the plea hearing, Kevin strikes up a conversation with Jack, and Abi observes Stefan and a lady named Coral getting into a furious fight in the hallway.

Subsequently, Coral comes up to the garage and greets Abi, introducing herself as Corey’s mother and Stefan’s wife.

When Gemma arrives to the flower shop apartment with Joseph and the quads ready for school, Paul is overjoyed. Billy snaps some group photos of them to commemorate the event.

Dylan is devastated when Betsy tells him she’s not ready for a new relationship and that they would be better off as a couple.

Leanne encourages Amy to abandon her plans to sue The Institute after providing her a position back at the restaurant.

Wednesday, September 4.


Amy hears a voicemail from an unknown number at the salon; she listens horrified and quickly leaves. When Leanne and Rowan meet, she searches through his laptop and finds two files: one titled “Leanne” and the other titled “Nick & Toyah.” Rowan is then summoned to reception.

When Betsy tries to talk to her mother about Mason’s most recent threats, Lisa is distracted and her phone rings, which makes Betsy angry and causes her to walk out.

Betsy is reassured by Carla in the factory that her mother loves her and that she should give her some leeway.

Lisa questions Kit about the evidence that was put on Nathan at the station.

When Paul tries to play the manifesto to Billy and Summer, the synthesiser runs out of power. Paul is recording all the things he wants Billy to accomplish once he’s gone.

Summer assumes command and tells Billy to go outside while Paul gets some rest. Will Summer be able to assist Paul now that Billy is not there?

As they get ready to head out for Jack’s sentencing, Abi pulls Kevin and Jack in for hugs.

September 6, Friday

What does Leanne know when she invites Nick to the Bistro?

David gives Paul a haircut in the flower store flat upon Kit’s request. Paul says Billy should have some fun when David recommends they go out for a drink, but Billy is hesitant.

Paul and Kit decide that in order to make up for all of the years missed, they need spend as much time as possible together.

Lisa and Carla appear to be becoming closer after Lisa confides in Carla about her problems with Betsy.

Carla meets up with a potential supplier at the Chariot Square Hotel and clocks Joel’s arrival. With her meeting over, Carla approaches Joel’s table and announces to the room that he’s the woman-beater who tried to murder Lauren Bolton.

Ken admits that although physically he no longer needs Cassie’s help, he enjoys her company and would like her to stay on.

Tracy accuses Cassie of trying to get her claws into Steve but Cassie denies this.
