Leanne is now a senior member of the villain’s cult, The Institute, after falling for his trickery.

After Amy Barlow left her first malware session in tears, having been called a “w***e” and a “sl*g” for repulsively exposing herself about being raped by Aaron Sandford, she had lately started to question if The Institute really upheld the correct ideals.

However, while one cult goes on the rampage, astute viewers have now highlighted how Leanne may fall for the con.

One fan asked how Toyah or Nick forgot to tell Leanne about the Etheric Foundation, also known as the Cult of Nirab, in a post on an online forum.

Ben Andrew and Ruth Morgan headed it, and its adherents thought that they would only transition into the next world to be with Nirab rather than pass away.

A viewer of Corrie asked: “Why haven’t Nick or Toyah said to Leanne ‘you’ve seen this happen to someone else?'”

Another commented, saying: “Corrie is meant to feature a meticulously maintained archive with information on every character, past and present, as well as their “back stories including narrative lines and family biographies.” When new plots are introduced, these are purportedly consulted.”

It is their responsibility as writers for this program to, at the very least, be familiar with the history of each character they are creating. There’s no reason why these nuances shouldn’t have been seen earlier, especially with computers,” a third person remarked.

One more person said, “Probably before most of them, if not all of them, were even working on the show.” I’m more inclined to overlook it than a fundamental quality that defines a person as that person.”

Leanne, portrayed by Jane Dawson, may find out about Nick’s extramarital affair with Toyah in later scenes.

She is left alone at The Institute during a meeting with Rowan when he is summoned to reception.

She chooses to browse through his laptop because it’s near by and quickly finds a file that belongs to her.

When she discovers a file with the exact same name, Nick and Toyah, fans will realize the bizarre persona has been using them as a blackmail target.

On ITVX and ITV1, Coronation Street is shown.
