It doesn’t appear that Lisa will be going back to Weatherfield very soon.

The actress, who has been playing Beth Tinker since 2011, was observed interacting with fans on many occasions when they expressed dissatisfaction with the plot that wrapped up her character.

George enjoyed the following comment: “What a terrible and humiliating way to go out for such a great character. Had she chosen to leave Kirk, she would have allowed him to accompany her! Could he not accompany her? Sincerely, it’s time to fire the authors of Corrie and Emmerdale, who are reportedly the same. The plots are horrendous! Beloved Beth. She was due for a better ending.

“It’s unfortunate that such a wonderful actor was forced to play such a horrible character and given such crappy storylines,” said another. I look forward to seeing @lisageorgeactor in more tough parts. She would be fantastic in a series on Netflix, like one written by Harlan Coben. I hope whatever you do goes well xxx.

“You deserved a better send-off for being on the show that long,” said a third. Lisa, good luck with everything. You’re going to kill it.

George has received praise from her fans for responding to these harsh remarks, calling her “iconic.”

“So iconic for liking the comments about the bad exit storyline,” a fan commented. All of the characters’ responses were merely incorrect. Beth is fierce; she wouldn’t give up easily. Although Kirk and Craig lack intelligence, they are more emotionally invested and would take longer to recover from the loss of their mother or girlfriend. Daniel is too wise to have abandoned her without at least trying to figure out why. I was expecting a huge, dramatic, eighties-style exit, like when she got on a tour bus or something. Still, Lisa, fantastic job. We shall miss you.

Lisa has been active on social media since her character abruptly left Weatherfield, which was recently aired.

On screen, unscrupulous police officer Kit Green intimidated Beth Tinker into leaving her life behind by threatening to have her son Craig Tinker fired from the force.

Lisa had made the decision to leave the program, according to a December article from The Sun.

She joins the ranks of departing performers, which includes Bill Fellows, whose last scenes as Stu Carpenter have already been recorded, and soap opera veteran Helen Worth, who is scheduled to leave after almost 50 years.

Naturally, many were curious as to why she chose to move away from the cobblestones.

Later on, Lisa acknowledged that she wanted to seize the opportunity to work in theater before a probable eye ailment may cause her to lose her vision.

She revealed that she was given a non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION) diagnosis a year ago in an interview with Rob Smith of ITV.

Because of this illness, the arteries that feed blood to the visual nerves are clogged.

It can lead a person with the condition to suddenly lose their vision.

Due to NAION, Lisa presently only has peripheral vision in one eye and is mostly blind in the other.

Lisa posed an emotive question throughout the interview, “What happens if I do go blind? I still have a lot of things I want to accomplish, like pursue acting.

“It was the impetus for me to see what else is out there as I don’t want to stop any of those opportunities coming to me.”

When the actress was assisting in the felling of a tree and a rope struck her in the eye, she contracted NAION.

While traveling on a freeway, she began to lose vision in her other eye.

Lisa said that it still feels odd that she is leaving Coronation Street, even though she is confident in her choice to leave the serial opera to seek other acting opportunities while she still has the opportunity.

“Thirteen years is a long time, the people and my friends are what I’m going to miss the most,” she continued.

“It is, despite what everyone says, like a family. With the team, you laugh so much, and they all encourage you.

We’re all in WhatsApp groups, and once someone does well on one of the shows, everyone texts to congratulate them, saying “I really loved that.”

“I don’t know any other job where people have done that.”
