Together with Dee-Dee and Lauren, the investigator has been working nonstop to uncover Joel, who was cleared for his release owing to insufficient evidence.
People on social media are now requesting that DS Swain meet with Dee-Dee or even Lauren.
A few months prior, during a scene, DS Lisa Swain confided in Carla about the difficulties she was having with her adolescent daughter, Betsy.

Via X, a fan said, “Kit will claim his’superior officer’ is doing Dee-Dee!” “DS Swain vows to get Joel and finds another way to cosy up with Dee-Dee,” another person said.
“Swain and Dee-Dee should kiss,” a third person on X said.
Lauren could even be in the works for a romantic relationship, according to a fourth Reddit user. “An affair between Lauren and Swain would be the true drama. She genuinely believed that Roy was the one framing her “girlfriend” and had killed her.
