MYSTERY LADY Jacob Gallagher’s secret girlfriend exposed in Emmerdale scenes

A hamlet is beginning to see the spark that exists between Jacob and Victoria Sugden.

For some weeks, VICTORIA Sugden and Jacob Gallagher had made an effort to conceal their developing affection.

But next week in Emmerdale, someone close to the boy starts to suspect that he’s seeing someone secretly.

Matthew Wolfenden’s character David Metcalfe is blissfully ignorant of the mystery that surrounds him in the ITV hamlet.

The shopkeeper, Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell), is unaware that his son, Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant), has developed love feelings for Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins), his former fiancée, despite Eric Pollard’s diagnosis of Parkinson’s illness.

But in scenes that will premiere the following week, one of those secrets is about to be revealed.

Everything starts when David walks in on Jacob and Brenda Walker’s (Lesley Dunlop) discussion about Pollard.

Once again, he doesn’t even acknowledge the flames that are growing between Jacob and Victoria.

Later on, Pollard is persuaded to meet up with Manpreet Sharma, the local doctor (Rebecca Sarker), for a conversation and a round of golf.

Unfortunately for Jacob, as soon as his mother Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) finds out he’s seeing someone else, she believes he’s concealing something.

Will she recognise the person?

When she discovers that Jacob is feeling something for Victoria, how will she respond?

Since Victoria unintentionally poisoned Jacob with nuts and caused an allergic reaction, Leyla held a grudge.

When the boy was brought to the hospital for emergency treatment, he told Victoria how he really felt about her.

Given their nine-year age difference and living as stepson and stepmother while Victoria was still seeing David Metcalfe, their relationship was certain to surprise more than a few villagers.

Is Leyla going to attempt to get even with Victoria for sleeping with her son?

Actor Matthew Wolfenden, who portrayed David Metcalfe, is expected to make a dramatic departure after spending 17 years in the Dales.

Fans of the Yorkshire-based show speculated that he would leave a devastated man after learning that Victoria no longer wanted to be associated with him when his departure was initially hinted at.

But when he learns that she has been seeing Jacob, how will he respond?
