Emmerdale spoilers: Major baby shock as Marlon hides a massive secret

Well, we didn’t expect that (Picture: ITV)

In Emmerdale, Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) keeps a big secret from his family.

Currently, the character is following a plot in which Lydia (Karen Blick) investigates the identity of the person who killed rapist Craig (Ben Addis).

Thus far, every time a Dingle has taken front stage, a flashback has shown what they were doing as Craig was dying.

When talk shifted to Marlon, we witnessed him at the hospital discussing his recovery from his stroke with a physician.

Due to the fact that someone who has had a stroke is more likely to experience another one within two years, it became clear that Marlon was afraid of being ill once again.

While acknowledging Marlon’s concern, the doctor advised him not to allow it rule his life. Marlon was ecstatic when she told him that she was delighted to release him due to his amazing recovery path.

As Marlon was about to leave the workplace and head home, he texted Rhona (Zoe Henry), but he ran into Rhona’s ex-husband, Gus.

When Gus visited the community a few months ago, we got to know him. Having failed at conception naturally, he was hoping to obtain Rhona’s consent to utilise one of her stored embryos with wife Lucy.

Marlon was perplexed when he saw Gus with a pregnant Lucy tonight (November 1) since Rhona had said no.

Marlon didn’t trust the couple when they initially said the pregnancy was natural.

He then questioned if Rhona had consented to the use of the embryo without telling him, but Gus later admitted that he had stolen Rhona’s passport in order to assume her identity and obtain access to the embryo.

Marlon was in complete shock. Marlon pointed out that although Lucy feels the baby is a part of her, Rhona will be the biological parent of the kid, and Lucy is unaware of this.

Lucy immediately turned on Marlon, stressing the negative effects of disclosing their secret, such as Gus going to jail.

Marlon went back home after being advised to forget he had ever seen Gus and Lucy.

When a heartbroken Rhona came and revealed she had been on a challenging call-out with an injured dog, it was obvious Marlon was preoccupied.

Marlon is not saying anything, but for how long?

And when Rhona does ultimately discover the truth, how in the world will she respond?
