Coronation Street spoilers: Dying Paul’s dismay as his wheelchair breaks down in public

In upcoming scenes on Coronation Street, Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) will likely experience distress when his wheelchair breaks down in public.

Paul was unable to move around without the use of a wheelchair after receiving a motor neurone disease diagnosis earlier this year.

Paul initially refused to acknowledge that he was ready to use a wheelchair, but after a few tumbles, he eventually confessed to his husband Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) that he should begin doing so.

Paul felt a little better after trying out his new wheelchair with Billy following the heartbreaking scenes where he broke down.

In later scenes, Paul will travel to No. 5 with his sister Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) in order to spend time with her kids before the concert in Victoria Gardens.

Child protective services recently opened an investigation against Gemma after she unintentionally used essential oils to poison her stepson Joseph (played by William Flanagan).

Gemma has been forced to move in with Paul and Billy in order to prevent the children from being placed in foster care while the investigation is ongoing and prevents her from seeing her children unsupervised.

Paul is shocked when his wheelchair breaks down in the street as they are travelling to spend the day with them.

Even worse, Gemma is devastated that she didn’t get to see Joseph perform because the concert has already ended when they get to Victoria Gardens.

Paul and Gemma are ecstatic that Glenda (Jodie Prenger) is there to persuade him to perform an encore.

Sadly, Gemma’s day goes by far too quickly, and she regrets not spending more time with the kids when Chesney (Sam Aston) comes to take them home.
