As George Knight (Colin Salmon) and Cindy Beale’s (Michelle Collins) emotions for one another revive, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) may be in for a heartbreak on EastEnders.
We are aware that Cindy and George had a fulfilling relationship at one point.
Cindy told George that she was living underground as Rose Knight while they were together when she came back to Walford earlier this year.
This put the enormous responsibility of getting to know Cindy Beale—not Rose—in the real world on George, Anna (Molly Rainford), and Gina (Francesca Henry).
Although this has led to some issues between George and Cindy, it has repeatedly been evident that they still have affections for one another, and future episodes will further demonstrate this.
Anna and Gina go to the Beale home for lunch on Christmas Day. Cindy finds out that George is alone in the tavern getting ready for Keanu (Danny Walters) and Sharon’s (Letitia Dean) wedding reception as the day wears on.
She goes there covertly to ask George over for a drink, but they have a heated exchange instead.
Later, when Cindy and George take a trip down memory lane at Number 45, Elaine and Ian get envious.
Detecting Elaine’s distress, George quickly composes himself and pretends to have arranged a romantic getaway for her.
Before Elaine and George go for their Christmas vacation, may George’s affections for Cindy cause him trouble when 2024 gets underway?
