Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver hits out at ‘shocking’ shaming over weight

Star of Coronation Street Sue Cleaver spoke about how she felt that other women were “shaming” her after she lost weight.

The actress, who is most recognized to Corrie viewers for her portrayal of Eileen Grimshaw, said that giving up alcohol and participating in the I’m A Celebrity… Take Me Out of Here! jungle.

The 60-year-old soap opera actress said that because of her varied weight, she has received various treatment on last Thursday’s Loose Women.

She said to the ITV panel, “My weight has been up down all over and most of it was helped by red wine.”

I am much slimmer right now, but I’ve been sick this year, so maybe my metabolism has altered since I’m not drinking. However, I have gone the opposite way and I may do so again.

“What I hate about it is the shame that comes with becoming a bigger person,” she went on. the opinions expressed, often by other women. It’s quite difficult for me to handle. Please don’t treat us like fools; we are not dumb.

In an Instagram post from the previous year, Sue spoke about her weight reduction and said she was “absolutely incensed” to see that pictures of her had been exploited to promote diet goods.

She wrote, “Yeah, I have lost weight this year, but not through any diet.”

I had various women’s health problems and underwent a significant weight loss. Too much weight. Right now, I look awful, and I’m really attempting to gain weight.

She continued by explaining that her health issues had been resolved and that she was now doing well. She also shared a crucial message with her fans.

“Quick fixes and dieting are too important to worry about in this short life.” Simply be content with who you are. As you are, you are a wonderful human being.

She continued by urging everyone to treat one another with kindness before announcing that she was about to go eat pie.
