Rhona (Zoe Henry) in Emmerdale ultimately reaches her breaking point over the baby Ivy drama, which causes her to lose it.
Ever since Ivy entered her life, Rhona has been living on the edge, but when Gus (Alan McKenna) showed up on her doorstep, eager to become a father once again, she fell over the proverbial cliff.
Rhona is shocked and scared by Gus’ sudden willingness to accept the baby back, even though at first he wanted to take his time reestablishing his link with her.
Rhona has been planning how to find other means to maintain Ivy in her life after learning from Ethan (Emile John) that she lacks the legal right to fight for custody of the infant.
But when Gus eventually comes back, eager to take his daughter with him, Rhona is in hell. Before bringing her home, he gathers all of her belongings.
Rhona informs Marlon that she thinks Ivy would make a fuss over her father in order to show how unprepared he is. Marlon need to take this as a clue that something is wrong with Rhona.
When they see Gus the next day, Rhona whips the infant up in her arms right away, but she is devastated to learn that Gus is handling things well. He’s so good that he’s prepared to locate them a long-term residence.
Although Marlon hesitantly offers that they co-parent, Gus has other ideas. He intends to go permanently to France.
After feeling guilty for not telling Marlon and Rhona his exciting news, Gus comes back the next day to give them time to say goodbye. That’s where his error lays.
Because Rhona is broken, she cannot act in a reasonable manner. Later, when Marlon gets home, he discovers that Rhona and Ivy have vanished along with their possessions.
Mary and Marlon are terrified of what this will entail for Rhona when Marlon informs her.
Can they locate her quickly enough to avoid having to tell Gus the truth?
