Upon her arrival, Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) is taken aback by Daisy’s treatment of her mother. Daisy lets Christina know that she’s not welcome after being upset over her appearance.
Daisy, who wants Christina to spend as much time as possible away from the cobblestones, advises Christina to see her friend in Amsterdam. Later, when she returns to the Rovers, she says her passport has expired and she has nowhere to go.
Ryan, who is pitying Christina, encourages that she remain and have a drink. He tells her that since she allowed them to borrow money to purchase the bar, this is the least they can do.
Christina is captivated by what Ryan has told her and, more significantly, by the falsehoods her daughter has spoken, even though she knows this isn’t the truth.
Could she reveal Daisy and Jenny’s true source of funding for purchasing the pub?
Supporters of Coronation Street may recall when Daisy was able to locate the cash that criminal Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) had taken from Carla Barlow (Alison King).
Daisy determined that the money would be better used to save the Rovers rather than giving it back to Carla to reinvest in the Underworld business.

The actress acknowledged that her character doesn’t give her actions or their outcomes much thought.
“Daisy is viewing the money as Stephen’s money instead of Carla’s money,” the woman said. Otherwise, it seems a little too intimate and near to home.
Will Daisy wind up in jail for taking Carla’s money?
