Emmerdale viewers often compliment Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) on how fortunate she is to be married to James Chase’s character, Tom King, on his beauty, kindness, and compassion.

That may be how he seems to the majority of people, particularly those who aren’t paying close attention, but Belle and the viewers in particular have seen an entirely other side of him.

Ever since he came back to the hamlet and resumed his passion with Belle, there was always something a little strange about Tom. His true colors have begun to show more clearly in the last several months.

Not only is he needy and greedy, but more concerningly, he is in charge. He subverts Belle and manipulates her into doing what he wants by using emotional blackmail. While she does sometimes confront him, he usually gets his way, and Belle has often been seen crying over her husband’s harsh actions.

He once kicked over the ceramic pig that contained Belle’s mother’s ashes and then left her go home by herself as he didn’t want her to get into his vehicle since she was covered in ashes.

After Tom made a big deal out of the Dingles being a little too Dingley during the wedding, Belle spent their wedding night sleeping alone. Following these occurrences, he either acts as if nothing occurred or tricks her into believing she was at fault.

Additionally, Tom is using an app to monitor Belle’s whereabouts, as we have seen.

We are really afraid for Belle’s safety since viewers have seen Tom acting violently toward her in the past and shoving her when she first rejected his marriage proposal.

In the next episodes, Tom is irritated when his wife texts him to let him know that she won’t be returning from work until later.

When he sees that she’s in a moving automobile on his app, he becomes quite angry. When he phones to check on her, she claims to be at Take A Vow, but Tom can see that she has moved to the Hide.

He arrives there in a nasty mood, and when he sees Belle seeming to be having fun, his attitude doesn’t get any better. He acts normally when Belle sees him, attempting to seem like everything is OK while furiously fuming within.

He abandons Belle at the Hide because he can’t maintain this facade for too long. He returns home, where he is at last able to let go of his repressed wrath and, in a fit of wrath, utterly destroys the house.

When Belle returns home, how will she respond?
