In a brand-new spoiler video, a loved one on Emmerdale battles for his life, leaving the family in pieces.
In the most recent scenes, Nicky Miligan (Lewis Cope) was left critically wounded in a terrible vehicle collision where Ethan Anderson (Emile John) abandoned him on the side of the road.
The tension between Nicky’s parents, Caleb (William Ash) and Ruby (Beth Cordingly), is evident in the new spoiler video as they wait tensely by her bedside.
Ruby finds it hard to accept that Caleb is ready to leave at such a critical moment when he recommends they go get food from the canteen, but Caleb is certain that they must eat.
Caleb looks to the nurse, who reassures him that Nicky is stable, when Ruby declines to answer.
But Ruby takes the news poorly, snapping that she won’t be given false hope. As a result, Ruby and Caleb’s tension becomes even further.
Ruby snaps out at Caleb when he apologizes for his brusqueness, stating that she is not “tired” as he says, but rather furious that someone could abandon their kid in the hospital, where he is battling for his life.
Ruby cautions Caleb not to apologize on her behalf, pointing out that Nicky won’t benefit from venting her resentment on the medical personnel as they are only trying to assist.
Caleb tells Ruby that if her fury gets the better of her, she won’t be of any service to Nicky and that she should go home and get some rest instead of promising to speak with the nurse.
Ruby reluctantly consents, but she gives Caleb a strong warning not to leave Nicky alone.
Will Nicky survive, or will the Miligan family be permanently destroyed?
