ITV Emmerdale family ripped apart as villager arrested after Charles Anderson betrayal

Emmerdale could see an exit very soon after Nicky Milligan was rushed to hospital following a car crash.

On Friday night, Emmerdale lawyer Ethan Anderson (played by Emile John) crashed Nicky Milligan’s (Lewis Cope) vehicle and left him for dead, leaving him afraid for his job. But rather of staying to assist, the vicar’s son made a beeline for it, leaving Moira Barton (Natalie J Robb) to pick up the pieces.

Nicky’s parents, Ruby Milligan (Beth Cordingly) and Caleb Milligan (Will Ash), found out towards the conclusion of the episode that while Nicky wasn’t the driver, he had been drinking the night of the collision.

“You here about Nicky?” As Caleb continued, Ruby questioned a hospital police officer, saying, “Are you jumping the gun a little here, Ruby? We have no idea when he will awaken.”

Ruby said, “We are aware that he was drinking; this is not typical of him. We’ve trained him better than to ever drink and drive. He would never do it.”

The cop verified, “Your son wasn’t driving the vehicle.” “Bruising on his chest and shoulder was consistent with seatbelt and airbag impact from the passenger side.”

“Whoever it was, they left him for dead,” Ruby said in horror. “Who would do that?”

To which Caleb answered, “I dunno,” he said, “but when I find them they will wish they had died in that accident.”

But as official teasers have shown, Caleb and Ruby will quickly find out that Ethan was really behind the wheel of the vehicle.

Future scenes will have Ruby dealing with tension in the hospital as she and Caleb watch over Nicky as he fights for his life.

Although Charles recognises his son’s unease and concerns, Ethan feels bad since his family is praising him before he starts his new work.

Ruby wants to find who was driving her son’s automobile and wants to get retribution for Nicky’s tragedy. Caleb makes amends with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) in the hospital and promises to track down the driver.

Charles, in the meanwhile, notices that Ethan is having difficulties and leads him inside the church for an open discussion.

When Ethan acknowledges that he was behind the wheel when Nicky was involved in an accident, Charles is taken aback. When Ethan tells him he plans to lie to the police and begs for an alibi for his movements on the night of the accident, Steve is shocked.

When Ethan discovers that his own father had reported him to the police, he is horrified and is detained for Nicky’s accident.

Furious Ruby concludes that Ethan had to have been driving Nicky’s automobile after seeing his arrest. As he witnesses the destruction of his family and witnesses Ethan being hauled away by the police, Charles starts to second-guess his choice.
