The soap star will be playing his new role from December to January 2024
Following his Strictly fame, James Bye, star of Eastenders, landed a big-money role away from the BBC soap opera.
The actor competed in the dance competition last year. He is best known for his role as Martin Fowler in the show based in Walford.
The first pair off the show was James and his partner Amy Dowden.
After a year away from the show, James is set to leave EastEnders and make his Christmas pantomime debut.
At Aylesbury’s Waterside Theatre, the soap star will portray the Prince in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
He’ll be performing live from December 1 through January 3, 2024.
This implies that in order for James to participate in the production, he will most likely need to take a break from EastEnders.
James is not the only prominent figure from the BBC soap opera to have pursued a career in pantomime.
This year will see the likes of Shona McGarty and Steve McFadden.
It follows a week after James and his wife Victoria gave birth to their son and disclosed his name.
