Sean Maguire, a former EastEnder, is coming back to television after a 13-year hiatus.
The actor, who is most known for playing Aidan Brosnan in the BBC One serial opera, will appear in the first episode of the next Death in Paradise season.
Don Warrington (The Commissioner), Shantol Jackson (DS Naomi Thomas), Tahj Miles (Marlon Pryce), Ginny Holder (Darlene Curtis), and Élizabeth Bourgine (Catherine Bordey) will all be making a comeback to the programme as DI Neville Parker, played by Ralf Little.
Commissioner Selwyn Patterson will be shot by an enigmatic assassin in the first episode, which will also mark the 100th episode of the programme. Together, the crew must track down the culprit while maintaining hope that the cherished character will make it out alive.
Sean Maguire, the first guest actor to ever repeat a part, will return to Death in Paradise inside this dramatic and suspenseful plot.
Sean, who relocated to Los Angeles in 2001, had an appearance on the first episode of the programme, Arriving in Paradise, back in 2011. The actor, who portrayed Marlon Collins, recently posted on social media to share his joy at being invited back.
He posted a photo of his family and Don Warrington on Instagram along with the caption, “I was lucky enough to be in the very first episode of #DeathInParadise now 12 years have passed & I was delighted to be asked back and appear in the 100th episode alongside the legend that is Don Warrington & a fab cast.”
