Sarah Jayne Dunn of Hollyoaks has come up with some startling new allegations regarding her treatment on the show. She claimed that while she was there, she was “sexualized” and “manhandled.”

Before departing in 2021, Sarah, 42, portrayed Mandy Richardson in Hollyoaks for more than 20 years. Because they felt her photos were too risqué and detrimental to Hollyoaks’ reputation, the show’s executives ordered her to delete her OnlyFans page.

She made the decision to leave the serial opera and keep expanding her internet fan base. When Mandy abruptly moved to Los Angeles in 1996, Sarah’s character on Hollyoaks departed.

Regarding her work on OnlyFans and her reasons for leaving Hollyoaks, Sarah has been transparent. She now says that, despite not being able to pursue her acting career the manner she desired, she was “sexualized” as an actress, according to the Mirror.

She discussed this injustice with Fabulous Magazine in The Sun, saying, “I’d been sexualized and made into a target of desire for sex my entire adult life. then to be informed that I couldn’t complete it on my own terms? That was the part that hurt the most since, to me, it didn’t make sense.

“I had worked on sets for years, where I would wear short skirts and would occasionally have my skirt almost upskirted and other embarrassing situations. Then directors would manipulate you, making you feel uneasy. It was the biggest blow in the teeth to be told that I couldn’t control myself.”

Channel 4 has been approached by Mirror Online for comment. “Acting was never my intention; I didn’t leave,” Sarah has now clarified to OK Magazine. “The whole point of joining OnlyFans and moving over to that platform is because I was already shooting my content and putting it up on Instagram.”

Joining the platform “made sense,” according to her, because “you’ve got the copyright and it’s protected.”

The single mother thought back in 2022 about why she had to leave the popular soap opera. “I’m still acting; I’ll continue to apply for roles and attend auditions. Although I never intended to quit the show, I’m in a lot better place right now.”
