First look Coronation Street spoiler video shows character’s return after 13 years – and she’s raging

Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) and Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) are in for a surprise tonight (March 20) on Coronation Street as Dylan’s mother Violet (Jenny Platt) makes her long-awaited comeback.

When Violet was last seen on film, it was during a visit from Anthony Cotton’s character Sean Tully to London in 2011.

Her previous appearance on the cobbles dates back to 2008, the year she left Weatherfield to begin a new life with Jamie Baldwin.

Dylan has been involved in a violent bullying plot on the cobbles lately, which has led to his accusation of knife crime. Dylan was arrested for having a bladed object in his hands after he consented to handle the weapon for his cruel partner Mason Radcliffe (Luca Toolan), and their court date is quickly approaching.

Dylan jumps in to inform Violet that she is in Ibiza and cannot attend the court when Sean confesses to Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) that he hasn’t spoken to her about the ordeal.

Violet returns to Manchester thanks to a suspicious Eileen, and in this new video, she’s not thrilled about it.

Even though the clip is brief, it seems clear that Violet is eager to hear what Sean and Dylan have to say and that they are both shocked to see her.

What, though, will Violet think of all that Dylan has endured?

Jenny expressed her fear of resuming her role as Violet’s assistant, saying, “It was such a massive part of my life and one that I absolutely adored and genuinely loved every minute of being there.”

She continued, “Even though it’s a different building, it still has that same kind of family vibe.”

“I’ve never felt like, “Oh yes, that’s it, I want to put that character to bed,” because Violet is a warm, compassionate character who has made a lot of mistakes, so I always feel like I can relate to her.”

Of course, if Dylan was getting into more trouble, I’d want to see what she could get up to.
