ITV Coronation Street’s Alan Halsall kisses co-star and says ‘I think of you all the time’

Alan, who played Tyrone Dobbs in the soap, took to social media to mark what would have been the birthday of soap icon Bill Tarmey.

Alan Halsall, star of ITV Coronation Street, posted a sorrowful flashback photo with a co-star and captioned it, “I think about you”. In honour of the day that would have been Bill Tarmey’s birthday, actor Alan, who portrayed Tyrone Dobbs in the serial opera, posted on social media.

“Happy Heavenly Birthday, Bill!” said the soap opera star. Feeling deeply, he said, “Miss ya mate, I think of you all the time.” The ITV soap actor paid homage after sharing a thought on “reality” with his social media followers and Coronation Street fan base.

Over Easter weekend, he said, “My smile is biggest when I’m with my daughter.” “A Bank holiday Weekend well spent, outdoors & having fun with our family xx,” he said. In response, admirers hurried to provide their unwavering support and lavished him with praise.

“Alan, you are a true asset to her,” one person wrote. You can see how much you love your daughter just by looking at your photos; you two have such a lovely relationship.” x” More than 700 people attended Bill’s burial, including Ken Barlow from the television series Corrie and Liz Dawn, who portrayed Bill’s on-screen wife Vera.

In 1978, Bill took up the stage name Tarmey and landed his first silent role on Corrie. A year later, he made a comeback as Jack Duckworth. In a tragic moment, his widowed character passes away quietly in Vera’s chair.

As the well-known pigeon enthusiast and soap opera legend drifted in and out of consciousness, Jack danced one more time with his wife’s “ghost” to a tune that Bill himself had played. The 71-year-old, who spent 31 years in the role until retiring from the ITV1 soap opera in 2010, died unexpectedly in Tenerife.

His family has begged “for privacy as they grieve for a wonderful husband, father and brother” .
